Did you grow up loving the packaged cinnamon apple oatmeal, or brown sugar oatmeal? I did, but after looking at the packaging, that stuff is loaded with artificial sweeteners and tons of....well, crap. I hate plain oats because they are so bland and boring, so here's the all natural approach to making your own naturally sweetened & yummy oatmeal.
Ingredients
1 serving of all natural oats
1/2 apple
1 tbs cinnamon
1 tsp all natural maple syrup
(If you're cooking for the whole family, just cook more oats, add more apple, cinnamon, and syrup.)
Directions:
Peel apple and dice in to small pieces.
Start cooking your oats per packaging directions.
Half way through cooking, pour apple pieces in. Stir in cinnamon and syrup.
Allow oats to finish cooking.
I know, super easy, right? Good thing, too.. it takes about 5 minutes to make.
